Mr Tillman is a recognised authority on primary and secondary bone cancer. He has published many papers on this subject, and is the Chairman and Senior author of the national guidelines (published by the British Orthopaedic Association) on the management of metastatic bone disease. Much of his work in bone cancer consists of specialised joint replacement and sometimes it is necessary to replace entire bones including the joints at either end (see the attached X-ray). Mr Tillman is a member of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Oncology Service which has an international reputation for this type of surgery.
